Welcome to Troop 234

Welcome to Troop 234! Please explore the topics below to learn how our troop operates and how your family can get involved.

How Scouting America Works

Scouting is a youth-led program that builds leadership, outdoor skills, and community service. While Cub Scouting is family-oriented, Scouting America shifts responsibility to the youth, empowering them to plan, lead, and achieve under adult guidance.

  • Work on advancement at their own pace.
  • Participate in patrols, small groups within the troop.
  • Plan and lead outdoor adventures and service projects.
Troop Organization

Troop 234 is organized into patrols—small groups of Scouts led by a Patrol Leader. The troop is youth-led, with adult leaders and a Troop Committee offering guidance and support.

Key leadership roles include:

  • Chartered Organization Representative
  • Committee Chair
  • Scoutmaster & Assistant Scoutmasters
